Hi I am trying to fit 2 wheel drive to our sidecar setup.
I Need some advice please.
I though what better place to ask than a Suzuki forum :)

The hub I am looking for will have to be manual free wheeling and the drive shaft will need to have a bolt up flange on the end that goes to the gearbox.
(Or to a center shaft flange in my case)
I was Looking to use something like our 99 vintara grand front hubs .
But It would have to be a manual hub to free the drive to the sidecar wheel when not needed.
(Question ) Would a vintara front hub be good to use or are there other model hubs that would make it easy and cheaper to get free wheeling hubs?

Any advice ideas would be great.

Photo is not of my bike but just to give you a idea of what i am trying to do

Thanking you Ian.

Sounds like a killer set up, would be interested to hear how well it works.

The front LHS of the Vitara/Grand Vitara run a bolt in CV with a 3 bolt flange. The Grand Vitara run a fixed drive flange instead of a Free Wheeling hub, the Vitara has a FWH.

The left & right half shafts are slightly different lengths & there is also a longer version for the SV420 & SV620 2.0l Vitara's, the outer spline count is 26, not sure on the diameter.

Hopefully these pics might shed some light.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure the aisin freewheeling hubs off a hilux will also fit on the end of the Vitara CV as I think they are also 26 spline

Does that mean the Aisin hubs off a hilux will also fit a GV (1999)? I'm looking to get a pair of hubs and that may be a cheaper option. There are a few Hilux hub versions? Any idea which one will fit?
Cheers

I have a pair of Vitara locking hubs here that will fit GV as well.
