coily diffs, though the same centre diameter as a 1.3 have a ring gear carrier that is the same size as a 1.0 litre and jimny( and use same size side gear bearings). you will find the lockright gears are too big a diameter to fit into the coily carrier. |

thanks joe thats what i was thinking. i may look into getting the locker plates "trimmed" down a touch to fit as long as they will still engage the side gear. |

For all the effort, why don't you just bin the coily diffs altogether, and put in either WT leafies or Jimny diffs. Suddenly you have access to air lockers. And in the case of the leafy diffs, different ratios, chromo shafts/CV's and the lockright as well. Seems such an obvious solution to me! |

yeah that's true, however coily diffs are wider than Wide track, so will need to change front and rear and that is a lot of work imo. i have had very little issues with my front end, and atm i am nearly set to throw this locker (i have in the rear) in the river! imo its not suited to the rear and i wouldn't sell it to any one elce! joe is going to start producing front axels to suit coily diffs for cromo's soon so that isnt a huge issue. i am soon (next few months) going fit either a mini spool or chinese air locker to the rear so i will have the locker spair. if that makes sense. |
