Hi I'm looking to re do my rear suspension on my lwb vit It is getting set up for hard day tips and the cape etc so it will be towing and carring weight most of the time I'm running commo shocks with custom rear springs that are to high and to hard Thinking of going down to a 4 lift with 60mm bumpstop spacer and 1m control arms Any one that knows about spring rates , do u recon 14mm wire 13 turns 500long would be ok My ones now are 15mm wire 10turns 450high Wich is about 6 in lift Also ways a good shock to go with I don't like the commo ones as they are a bit soft and the body is ask a little big as it is rubbing on the diff tube |

6" rear springs? Any lift via spring that long is going to be harsh. What commodore shocks are you running? I'm running kyb vl commo and theyre not a huge bore/body and clear easy. |

That's the problem. I want to go down to 4 as I only got 3 in the front I stuffed up when I measured my mates rear coils I needed 14mm wire Instead of 15 mm wire The lift I got now would be good if I could get the front up that high .just needs to be a bit softer I think I have Gabriel como shocks the long ones The car has less body role now then it did with the stock springs The bigest prob is the commo shocks are to soft to control the weight and rebound |

wats wrong with my spaces they work great and they keep the spring level so there not sitting on one side with a big bow like when u just put longer coils in on the stock arms also because i have the widening mod the coil doesnt line up with it seat now so the offset in the spacer fixes that the rear is getting replaced soon with a offset one so i can move the diff back ps every thing on my car is certified and athol had no problem with any of them |

i understand the concept behind what you've done, but fark me... that passed... if only it was that easy to engineer stuff in SA, did you have to perform any lane change test or braking tests? |

No test just had a look and was happy with every thing the car handels fine There is less body role now then when I got it . I want to put swaybars on with disconnects for touring so that it has no body roll while on the road loaded up There is not much difference between custom arms like calmini and my spacers they both move the coil seat to suit the 3 in lift The rear spacer is solid with ht bolts all the way through .wats wrong with that . It's stronger then the cheap welded plate one u can buy |
