Anyone know what the legalities are with removing the b-pillar on a soft top sierra and running a lap belt on the street?

Yep. Not legal. I'm not sure lap belts only has ever been legal in the front, but regardless, it won't be legal for any sierra.

I drove around k-town for six months with no windscreen, no b pillar, lap only belts and cut down doors. Got pulled over once but when the copper saw the lap belts he was happy.
