if there is no gearing correction budget for a new clutch every 5 to 10 thousand km.
all that work that is listed you will need to do every 6 or so months if ya drive in mud and 12 or so months if ya dont..
just look at the condition of the body and make sure that it drives and stops.

should i put in a 1lt transfer case, i think i read that somewhere. i thinks its called a transfer case or box or something. besides that are the shackles good, or what do they do?

Post subject:  Re: Extended Shackles?

if i'm to be honest, everything listed there is normal maintenance, nothing special, but also exactly what would need replacing on a sierra thats been flogged through mud

given you are going to flog it through mud too it wont matter what you get so just pick on in a colour you like with nice wheels and a soft top that isnt busted, the rest will be replaced on a regular basis

and thats not being a smartass, thats 4.5 years of reading threads like this all the time

Post subject:  Re: Extended Shackles?

unless it has longer then standerd springs the shackles will make it ride worse then standerd.
having said that i have extended shackles but my springs are shitloads longer then standard.

Post subject:  Re: Extended Shackles?

Providing they arent mega long the extended shackles will only have raised the vehicle slightly and nothing else. If they are mega long then handling will suffer.

Post subject:  Re: Extended Shackles?

they cause bad ride in stock cars due to the shackle angles and cause you castor to go out. they are a shit idea IMO on stock springs

and if you are going 4 a rwc u might want to think about the body lift it will need to be approved and that may take a few weeks before u can book it in 4 them to look at it
