My guess is it was already on the way, being alloy it get fatigued, cracks start and it just needs one small thing to break it completely. I tore all mounts off one just driving up a small hill.

I exploded the front diff in my vitara (alloy) today the diff center snapped right where the pinion bearing is pressed in. I know that these are prone to letting go but that is with bigger tyres etc i only have a 60mm lift and stock 215x75x16 highway terrains and it was muddy Has anyone had it happen without big tyres and alot of traction |

Yeah I don't seem to have damaged the gears though the r&p has just seperated under the force oh well time to upgrade |
