Hey Guys, Its been ages since I posted here and sold my zook however I am in the market for a new chariot and need to know a few things about the Jimny... How many km would you suggest is 'too high' when shopping for one. say 150,000 on a 2000 model? I wouldnt be so interested if i was looking at a vitara or older sierra as they seem to go forever...I just have this idea in my head that a jimny is more like a new car and when they get to a certain amount of km they will explode. Thanks for the help... also. a 2004 WRX is no where near as fun as a zook just incase any of you were considering a change like i did |

i would expect a 10 year old car to have around 200,000km on the clock and would be suspicious of a car with less. that is based on a car doing 20,000 a year and i reckon that there is more chance of servicing being done when necessary. |

yeah good point...its a chick driver and the women in my life dont do nearly as many km as the blokes so a few less than average isnt surprising to me. fingers crossed its not sold yet! |

these days the average usage is more like 15,000 a year... base it on that i reckon you'll be right - but low KM doesnt always mean its good - it may have spent HOURS idling in traffic, while a high km one was doing nice long country runs. I'd take the higher km country one over the city one (within reason). |
