Hey folks,

have found a nice cheap baleno motor in pieces and wondering if its worth buying, rebuilding and throwing in my 93 sierra. Looking at around $200-$300 for the motor but have been told i can find running ones for that?

any help would be appreciated,thanks

that is pretty damn cheap, was going to try just hotting up the 1.3 but after reading over as many forums on the topic it seems that its a lot of effort for not much difference.

the baleno 1.6 efi coilpack seems to be the conversion of choice among (most) zookers for a not so horrifically complex conversion.

doesnt seem to be many of the good old g16b's around atm though, trying to weigh up my options :P

Hell Yeah !
That 1.8L would make your Zook get up and go, and give it some awesome grunt offroad... and you wouldnt really need to hot it up... :D

my uncle runs a 1.8 in his zook ute with reduction gears other than that its bog stock. that car made me want to get into zookies, and here i am today.

true? that would be a bit of a more difficult conversion than the 1.6 though i bet so i may leave it and opt for the more common one i think.i think il be getting some reduction gears soon too :D
