e-go are horse shit. Their service is disgraceful and if there is any issues come up, they simply email you from a no-reply address and you have to head back to their website and send through another 'enquiry' then they try and re-bill you for their own mistakes.

They are a pack of muppets. For a 350k trip I would prefer to crawl that naked over hot coals before ever even considering using them again..

E-go are cheap for a reason.

I had an order requested to be picked up from my work. Apparently the driver was a retard who couldn't find what was a pretty clear address (Allied had no problems with it) so instead of calling or anything to clarify, they didn't bother to show up. After about 8 enquiry forms sent through to them, they said that the driver had attempted to call both my mobile and work (which he didn't) and that it was my fault their staff can't operate a gps. So they tried to tell me I had to re-book the service and pay another $40 fee, so i told them to shove it.

It is embarrassing to see that companies with such despicable service practices can survive. I had used them 3-4 times before that, but IMO you cannot afford to deal with courier services who are dodgy. If your shit goes missing after someone has paid for it etc, you are stuffed and e-go will take no responsibility for such problems.

Mistakes will happen with couriers/transportation as it is an inevitable risk from such service, but when the company treats you like a sack of burning dog shit and refuses to ever take responsibility for their inadequacies, then you can't run the risk of using them.

Haha, no disagreements there, but in future I would definitely stick to couriers please/allied express, who are much more reputable.

They may make mistakes but at least if they do, you can actually ring them (because they actually have a phone) and try and have the issue resolved.

I have purchased a bullbar and need to decide whether its cheaper to go pick up the bullbar or just organise a courier. I have seen some people reccoment www.e-go.com.au. But does anyone have an idea what the Lengh Width and height and weight of an ARB bullbar would be? Its roughtly a 350km round trip so once i factor in diesel for the land cruser, Tolls and time spent driving it might be worth getting the courier.

I take it you guys have had a bad experience with them? I've used them 18 times now with no dramas. I've used mainfreight twice, both times they were insanely expensive and fucked me around. TNT wouldn't ship to personal address. Company address only. Oh, and mainfreight damage EVERYTHING they touch. No shit! When I was doing the maccas stores, every new store delivery ) a full B-double) would have several HIGH value items destroyed beyond belief from wreckless handling. I've done a bit of reading on e-go, and it seems that their service is very erratic. Yet I have not had a drama to date. Chris your local contractor would be the same as mine I would assume. Have you had dramas with collection?

I agree totally. And e-go may be worse than others but in my 12 years experience dealing with freight companies I have learnt there is one universal truth. They all lose & damage shit, don't turn up, don't deliver and tell you to fuck off when you complain. The whole industry sucks IMO.

I believe they do Pete. I know after ego stuffed up my delivery that was going up to central queensland, somewhere in Rockhampton, it was allied who I got the next best quote from, who picked up same day and had it there within 2, with excellent communication and confirmation etc. I can't see why they wouldn't do interstate if they did that type of distance. They are most definitely who I will use again.

Yeah E-go lost a diff center for me a few weeks back I just called Hunter express (same company) and asked to speak to who ever was in charge and they just said they would look into it for me two days later i called again telling them i needed it asap and still got the same story After two weeks of me calling them three times a day they got sick of hearing from me and found it sitting at the Perth depot yard still with my address clearly marked on it

Holy shit! whod of thought the cheapest freight mob would be the dodgyest bunch of sooks, ive butted heads with every freight company in the country, one common theme, you use the cheap option you get the cheap option, want to know where it is every step of the way pay a few hundred for a dedicated run you wanna try dealing with shipping companies when they lose several containers and then find them on a ship going the wrong way when you have to start paying the customer for every day something is late

I have sent about 100 items with E-go to every state in Aust. They have lost without a trace one gearbox (which I replaced at MY cost) and Joes diff was MIA for a while but was eventually delivered... If you want the CHEAPEST freight you get the CHEAPEST service... I have never had or heard of any INSURED items going missing... If you don't want it MIA, pay the extra few dollars for insurance.

An arb bar (non winch but i think they are similar weight) for a vitara is about 34kgs or so dimensions are 165x40x53 from memory. I had mine shipped from Sydney using TNT and it cost me $88. I also used TNT when I ordered my wheels and had a good experience then. I think they do require you to have an account with them though.

Just for your information, e-go contract out to different couriers around the place - My parcels have been picked up by a number of different couriers, through e-go.
