Hey all, I'm not sure if my 1990 WT has a suspension lift (it definitely has 50mm body lift) but it has ironman shocks all round. The bloke I'd bought it off had said that the suspension had been done recently, but didn't say anything about lift. Anyhow the rear shocks have crashed on the axle (can only be while I've been wheeling, I didn't do anything that hard) and more specifically on the two little angle braces the brake lines mount on. I'll take some pictures later, the boys have just rocked up we're going for a surf. If anyone knows what I'm talking about/had this before, how did you fix it? I'm not going to cut/weld the axle/diff housing, I thought about putting a spacer on the point the shocks mount to to bring it out a few millimeters but they have some fairly deep dings so I don't think that would work. |

it's very common for WT's.... i would just cut off the handbrake mounts and reweld them closer to the axle.... but i never bothered with my wt |

So it's not going to do anything major to the shocks? Either the standard ones are WAY narrower diameter than the one's I have, or someone designed that part of the zook on a Monday after a big Sunday session... |

it will punch a hole in the tube. and all the shockness will come out... fix it before you need new shocks |

Mine were hitting on the brackets ... I spaced the shock out slightly using a slice cut from the old shock bush. Took it out about 10mm at the bottom from memory? Also cut the dust guard off the shock (leaving just the reservoir and piston shaft) as it was that that was taking the hits. No problems since. |
