love my 2006 Jimny but the left rear coil seems to sag with the result of reduced guard clearance, after 75000 kl is this something normal to standard suspension. I have followed some of the tech threads and I am now more confused than ever.
Ok I can change the rear coils as a pair but should the fronts be changed as well as a set to get the correct spring rates?
As I mainly tour, dont need too much lift so thought about EFS coils all around with 25mm lift.
Tough Dog have 40mm lift.
Trying to keep the cost down can I keep the standard shocks at these lifts?
Has any one had anything to do with polyair suspension on a Jimny to stop a sagging rear end when the car is loaded?
Any advice appreciated.

If you are into touring, i would go for the OME 40mm lift as it is very good ride.

My 04 GV with 55,000kms had three out of the four factory shocks completely gone. Replaced with Bilsteins Shocks/Struts and Dobinsons Springs and result was brilliant.

Normal suspension will drop a bit, but that sounds like alot, so i would say, not so normal... and i am guessing its out of warranty...
I just had a quick look thru ebay, found these Tough Dog springs only, at $440 + free delivery -

how much weight are you sticking in teh back?

but 75000km is pretty well at the end of its life for springs and shocks

Sounds like you've got a bit of gear in the back. Most OEM Suspension isn't designed to take all the weight of gear such as Fridges, tents Etc... fully loaded for a trip.

I would recommend to anyone who's looking to do some serious touring to upgrade the suspension all around just to something more heavy duty. even if your not after the height.

Thanks for the input.
Will continue the research.
No fridges in the back found too heavy in weight and cost, I use 2 small 10ltr esky's and cryovac and freeze barbi meat.
Any one ever used the air bag suspension to help level up the rig?
And Happy New Year to All.

Your better off with spring's, spring's can't deflate..

I have the OME 40mm lift and when out camping have a fridge and 90 amp deep cycle battery plus other gear in the back and the height is great. Handles the weight real good.

I agree with you OME is the kit for touring.

Thanks for the input, looks like the OME set up is the way to go, I believe in doing it once and doing right, will try to find a good price, and then not tell the wife. Nothing worse than a sagging bum which is what I put up with now.

Yeah probably be careful when talking about sagging bums with the wife :)

Point taken, in that case I shall have to fix my droop quietly
