some self tappers through both bits of plastic using a stumpy screw driver, or liquid nails?

You must have the same Tomtom as I, it fits perfect in that little compartment.

Does the tomtom take much pressure to clip into the holder and off the holder?

maybe araldite down the sides and bottom, then once set sikaflex over the top and fill the top with it?

Mine is the perfect width, just a few mm too tall (its a 250XL I think). Tried to cut out a space to fit it in the compartment, but just can't get it to fit and look nice.

I got some Sikaflex 221. I'll try that if bunnings can gimmie a spare nozzle.
