Hi everyone, I'm working on a 97 suzuki vitara with a dtc26 code which is listed in the workshop manual as tcc sol short. This is an auto trans code and the vitara is manual. I've checked the wiring for breaks and damage. I've checked the connectors for contamination and damage. I've replaced the coils. I've checked the spark plugs. I've sent the ecu away to be tested and it checked out fine. I've checked the cam sensor for breakdown of signal with an oscilliscope. I've contacted suzuki aus about the problem and they don't know what the problem is and can't offer any useful info at this point. If you can think of anything else I may have missed and might assist me with this problem it would be greatly appreciated. |

yep, the coils and everything down to the sparkplug are new. The car starts with no codes. You hold the rpm at 1300rpm with the tech2 suzuki scan tool until it hits running temp and then it starts misfiring and throws the dtc26 code. I thought it might be a temp related issue with a sensor which is why I checked the cam position sensor, but it's not breaking down. The vehicle has been fitted with a new air bypass solenoid before I got it but I don't think that should affect anything. |
