So I went to drag my mate out of a bog hole today and when going from low4 to high2 my transfer stick has popped out of the case, it goes back in but I'm just wondering is there a circlip or lock clip that holds it into the case?

The stick has a cap with 2 lugs cut into it that locate inside the transfer.
It will have a spring under the cap to keep pressure on the stick to hold it into the transfer.
Under the stick there should be a bush that the stick sits on. It commonly deteriates and allows the stick to lock in funny places or allows the stick to dislodge from the transfer.
