Hey guys I got a second hand set of 4wd free wheel hubs and I'm having a little trouble taking the old 1s off all the bots are off but the body just sits there and spins if any1 knows what I'm doing wrong please let me kno.

There's a circlip inside that you have to remove.

it is on the end of the axle :wink: i never bother to stick them back on.
dunno if that is good or bad but it makes taking the hub off a lot easier.

I think the ring that's about 50 mm thick with the male groves is stuck inside

thread one of the hub bolts into the end of the axle so you have something to grip
then pull the axle out a bit, it will only move a couple of mm but you should then be able to see the external circlip.

Just tryed that but it doesn't move out getting pritty frustrating Iv taken 1 wheel off so it's just the hub body but can't pull it off it just spins really keen to swap these today so I can atleast drive I can't find the circlip any 1 got a YouTube link or diagram that would help?

go to tech sect there is a thread with swivel hub rebuild..got pics from start to finish ..you will see your circlip there .
