Give it a smack with a hammer and punch, if that don't work, get a bigger hammer, don't matter if the bearing breaks, ur replacing it ne way

i got the bearing out.. but now i cant get the metal bit that the bearing sits inside of out.. i cant smack it with a hammer because it is tapered in wards, so if i hit it in it gets tighter.. and i cant get to behind it.
what do i do now?

Hey bud, get the hub , sit it on a piece of wood, get a hammer and a long punch or flat blade screw driver,(preferably one you don t like as it may damage the tip, ) and put the punch inside the hub on the lip of the bearing runner and punch it out but remember to work aroud the runner so
you don't scar a lip inside the hub

is the runner the sleeve the bearing sits inside? Im not very good with the terms..

next.. once you get the front bearing out, is there another bearing behind that in the bottom? if so, does this need replacing? I have been given two bearings and told it will do one side.. if so, how do i get to the second bearing

And remember to grease your bearings real well don't go shy on grease, grease is cheap, bearings and cv"s are not

Get a press or take it to some one with one
I had a bearing rust in and it took a 50 t press to get the sleeves out

okay got it all out in the end, took a lot of effort. used a press to get the inner bearing on, but does the outer bearing need to be pressed as well? i cant get the (chromo or cv - bar with knuckle on it) to come through the bearings far enough to attach sirclip..

is this sirclip necessary?

can you pull/pry the axle out a bit? Or is it in there good and deep like?

Theres a bit of play with standard ones, sometimes have to pry them outwards so the circlip can be placed on.

i pulled it as far as i could and was about a mm or two till the circlip slot coming forward.. do i have to do the nuts on the outside of the bearing until tight and then undo a few notches so the bearing is pressed in?
