well the zook I bought a few months back has a cracked head, and I'm tight on cash so trying to get a fairly accurate figure on what it would cost me to convert to a G16B engine. From searching around on the site, I figure this conversion should be cheaper then a standard G16B into a sierra since I've already got the EFI stuff. Just about every thread I read was tackling this conversion from a carby starting point, whereas I'm not, so what needs to be done and what are the costs? Engine, ecu and loom - $800? BenT adapter $200 speedo cluster for dash ? I've heard the starter motor can be modified to fit Can use current air filter apparently I have a 3 core HD radiator which I can use Can do wiring myself Sump needs to be modified, but what actually needs to be done? What costs am I missing? Is it possible to do this for around $1500? |

the 1.6 16 valve and G13bb heads are the same, so makes sense to find an engine and head and use the jimny manifolds and ecu then have it dynoed to see what the mixtures are doing |

BenT adapter $200 Yep speedo cluster for dash ? Cheap from wreckers, make your own VSS. I've heard the starter motor can be modified to fit with a grinder. Can use current air filter apparently Yes I have a 3 core HD radiator which I can use Can do wiring myself Sump needs to be modified, but what actually needs to be done? See this thread. It only needs to be modified if using a Baleno sump with crank angle sensor. What costs am I missing? Engineering or compliance plate? Is it possible to do this for around $1500? Easy, if you do it all yourself. |
