Hey guys and gals, just wondering what oil to use in an 00 model Jimny 1. Gearbox 2. Transfer case 3. Diff's the Manual i've got says it needs "special suzuki oil" me personally am wondering if this oil comes in a gold canister with dimonds encrusted into the mixture because suzuki want 4 arms and 2 legs to pay for it... So i figure oil is oil and hey you guys would be the people to ask. |

Call the suzuki service dept. Tell them that you are stranded out west and you need to know what oils they use, as you are concerned about possible oil contanination through the breathers, and you don't want to void the warranty by using the wrong oil. They should tell you then. |

Gearbox 75w80 or VMX 80 Transfer 80w90 or you can use the same as gearbox. Diffs if standard 80w90. When I worked for a dealer all they used was 75w80 in all of them but the diff should realy be 80w90 |

VMX80 is hands down the best transmission fluid ive ever used. ive had a few gearboxes that, no matter what you did, would not shift smoothly, in some cases, without grinding, and VMX80 made them good as new. i heart the stuff and sleep with a bottle of it next to my bed. |

This stuff good for a 1990 WT Seirra tranny? One would assume so but I'll check with the boys at cheapa. |
