i've had my bighorns for about 2 years now and they are a great tyre for the price. The tires grip well in the wet on the road and are a good off road tyre also, I'm actually down grading to 31s so I'm going to go the new bighorns and see if they are still the same quality

i have KM2's but havent tried bighorns... the KM2 are a brilliant tyre.
as for the bighorn - i'd be looking at the 764 instead of the 762:
762:
764:

I had mickey thompson FCII's on my hilux back when I had it, I can't really suggest how good they were because compared to the "kumho road venture a/t's" that were on it when I got it, the FCII's were like glue on everything. I only got on the sand once and that was to drag my jetski back off the beach when it died but I barely let any air out and they were great, even skulldragging the jetski trailer with sand going over it's axle...
They were fairly loud on the highway, but not the worst, also back when I got em, there was an 80,000km warranty provided you went in for a check every 10,000 (nfi what this cost, I was too busy to get there ever) and I don't know how well they lasted after I sold the vehicle.

ive had the bighorns on my patrol and they had much better grip than my mates km2's but when i upgraded to my new patrol i went for the mickey Thompson atz 4 bars because of the noise from the bighorns and realistically the ruck only sees the tracks 10% of the time, did the vic high country early December in all the wet and they were great, but because my zuk is 80% off road and i don't care about noise i am tossing up between the simex extremes at $249 each, the silverstone extreme sport (which were on it when i bought it, but with only 20% tread left) at $210 or the kumo muddies at $210. love the look of the simex but at $40 each extra i am not sure which way to go either.

i got a set of 30" big horns and im very happy with them. they are about 12months old (not really sure how many ks ive done on them) and they have only just worn through the sipes on the tread blocks.
they are good on the road and off as well. i think i paid $215 each. i would deff get another set without hesitation.
