Post subject:  Sv620 Lift & Opinion
Hi Guys after putting bigger tryres on i wish to lift the car a tad without going over the top, i just can't decide on how high to lift the car and what to use. The 2" Calmini kit from the states looks pretty good ( http://www.puresuzuki.com/2_lift_kit.htm ) but aren't keen on the struts. Is there any advice or forewarning before i go buy a kit and sit and fit it. I don't really want to start packing everything out with spacers either and not keen on having to drop my diff's but don't really see a way around it, i don't really want to break the buggers.

Currently the zook looks wrong without a lift and well beach driving erm, hem its still a bulldozer.

I think for a small lift you'd be better off with Ome suspension calmini as far as I know is illegal because it's not ADR approved

I run custom dobinsons in the rear with commodore shocks in the front I run gv front springs and 18mm spacers with a strut mount flip this works well and it's lifted 60mm

ergh, upon checking things for the lift i notice my right hand engine mount is stuffed and my left aint looking much better. Any ideas on where to find ones to suite the SV620's ? Are the mounts the same for a VL commodore ?

No, but they are the same as Sq625's, I'd be doing a wrecker hunt, cause last time I looked there was no non gen mount's...

well assuming that the 1999 2000 Chevrolet Tracker 1.6L & 2.0L is the same i have no problem in moving them from the states to here as ( they are $30 US a piece + shipping) i have awesome shipping rates via work for fedex and DHL. Just so long as it fits. I'm happy to help others im moving things as well.

all the same kinda deal. Happy to mass order if anyone wants a set. Since they arent exactly cheap over here OEM i believe to be around $150 ea.

hmmm, Well i guess all thats left to do is order them, anyone need them while im at it feel free to PM me.

One a side note how has anyone gone about mounting a portable winch to the front of a zook. The above mentioned vitara has very little space under the front bar and i could fit one under there and is going to add 34KG to the front of it, No big deal but sadly my insurance company being on my P's doesn't see the merits in having it without paying a luxury price.

Stumbling my way across the net it hit me that i maybe able to engineer a portable type deal with a warn winch since shipping it in isnt a big deal and it would be a great deal cheaper.

Any thoughts or suggestions on the proposal. I would be eager to see if someone else has done this or am i going to have to nut it out and take the plunge ? Quick release winches seem so handy :)

I think after todays research i have decided to bite the bullet with either OME or Dobbinson suspension. So thanks for your imput :) much appreciated
