Any you like...

But the easiest is the Baleno/Vitara 1.6

Also, I just looked at your rigs thread.... You'll get a much better improvment if you gear it properly for the 31s than by chucking a 1.6 in there...

If you don't change gearing with 31s it will still be a dog, even with more power...

We would all love an engine with more power that will simply bolt straight in and drive away. Chances of it actually happening though are next to none

I have to disagree. I would say the 1.6 with 31's and standard gearing is much more drivable then the 1.3 with standard tyres.

Kool thanks so would a 2L grand vitara motor go strait in
And do I need to get it engineered if I put a 1.6 in
Can I put a corola 1.8 in is it as easy as a 1.6

Post subject:  Re: Want more power

My advise would be to go with the 1.6. It's been done that many times and everyone has been more than happy with the outcome.

Haha yea ok bad words does it struggle in 2wd going up steep hills as much as the 1.3 cause the engine doesn't seem much bigger

Post subject:  Re: Want more power

ive got the g16a carby motor and 235 tyres and i can go up hills easerly 100km/h but its a full recon engine and bored out to the max

you will have plenty enough power from the 1.3 as long as its not on its way out if you sort out your gearing for the 31's

Post subject:  Re: Want more power

I took my 5.12 diffs out and ran my sierra on 31's with a 1.6 and 3.7 diffs for a week before i out my 6.5's in and it was drivable... there was no right gear for 60kmh though :( too high in 3rd, too low in 4th :P

Definately drivable though

the 1.6 efi is half as powerful again as the 1.3, its a huge difference and more than most people ever need.

the 2.0 gv motor is a little more work, im doing one now, but only cos i can, not cos i needed to

yeah fix gearing

Yer but I ment real power :thefinger:

Any efi engine is not going to be a simple bolt in mod, you have to sort out the fuel and wiring issues and with the gti engine you have to get around the dizzy issue as well
