Anyone seen a transfer gear swap how to? or have a set of instructions floating about as mine didnt come with any, and i dont feel like winging this and breaking crap ... they are 4.9s from lowrange..

I used the trail gear link when I did mine, its a pretty good guide.

the lowrange link has a link to the trail gear link so i thought i might chuck that in there

Sweet, cheers blokes. Just having a quick look through that, do the 4.9s replace less gears than the 6.5s?

when i did my 4.9s before i went 6.5 i think there was less gears

4.16 has less gears cos you don't replace the low output gear... Dunno about other ratios though...

Only one less anyway

Yes, the 4.16, 4.9 and 5.14 sets all keep the original 1.3 low output gear, the 6.5 set replaces all the gears.
