hey guys.
recently just purchased a 4.5" lift kit for my 09 jimny from offroad-armoury.
just got one quick question regarding spring spacers.
if i put say 1" spacers all round does that mean i should purchase a longer shock? or would they have the extra 25mm or so ?

Correct. Adding coil spacers will limit your downward travel of the shock by the lifted amount.

Best to install new shock, struts whilst doing lift. All with extended travel to match the lift height. You could always go more but be wary of front CV angle.

yes, by topping out your shock's...

the wheel will drop to a level as much as it could without the spacer

but if jimnys are like sierras 4.5" of lift is the limit the unis will tolerate any more will just cause trouble and be useless anyway

How much did you pay for the kit including postage if you dnt mind me asking?

yer not a problem
the jsk450 kit + correction bushes already pressed into the radius arms came to a total of $2648 aud. including postage.

and live axles still have CVs

I dont know much but isnt the draglink and panhard rod ment to be flat.
For a 4.5" lift for that much I would want to see drop pitman arm and weld on panhard rod brackets not a adjustable bar.
Think of the bump steer.

I have read a few build threads that people have this kit on and they didn't mention any change to those parts.
