Hi all, I have just replaced the front rotors and pads, and rear shoes on the daughters sierra. I managed to launch a shoe return spring into orbit, (last seen heading towards Russia). Can anyone tell me where I can buy more of these please? I tried a number of Brake shops here in Toowoomba, the wreckers and the Suzuki dealer, all to no avail. I must be able to buy them somewhere surely. Also, the brake pedal is now spongy when pressed, and goes almost to the floor. The brakes worked fine before I replaced all rotors , pads and shoes. Seems like I should have left them alone except they were very worn (2mm left). There is NO air in the lines as they have been bled 4 times completely. To my mind, it must mean that I need to adjust the brake shoes somehow. Can anyone fill me in on how to adjust them. I had to knock the ratchet adjuster right back to get the drum over the new shoes. Am I doing something wrong? Any help appreciated. Thanks, regards John T. |

I am sure somebody here will have a spring, there would be a few types depending on model though as to the pedal, the rear brakes should self adjust by pumping the pedal, providing the little spring between the shoe and the ratchet part is on correctly, new pads can appear to feel funny until they bed in too so it might just be a case of having to drive it a bit |

Post a photo of the spring that you need...I'll prob have a couple. I assume you only lost a spring from one side of the car... |
