Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if the 1.0l is meant to run leaded fuel?

Also, is there a bolt on sway bar option for a NT lwb?

Cheers

it doesnt have to run unleaded, but doesnt need any upper cylinder lubes not found in unleaded (in other words they are fine on unleaded, if they werent they would all be stuffed by now)

Whiteline do a kit I believe

The 1.0lt came out during the leaded period, but it (and the 800cc LJ80) have alloy heads with inserts that run quite happily on unleaded.

There is a specific swaybar for the NT, but they are rare as most people chucked them away! Do you still have the bolt pins welded to the front crossmember?

Any alloy headed (petrol) engine will run fine on unleaded fuel. They have stellite valve seats from factory.

My Owners manual for my 1983 Sierra LWB 1.o litre said
use gasolene with 85 ron or higher,
and preferably unleaded or low lead...
Japan was using unleaded a long time before we were.

Mine stopped chewing spark plugs and ran much better
once I switched to unleaded,
but it didn't like the high octane,
kept blocking up the idle jets.

My LWB had a rear factory sway bar,
but I think its gone to recycle yard, sorry
