What is the process to have a body lift approved in qld? Does it just need a modification plate?
I want to fit 2'' max to clear 31's on my vitara

From memory you have to apply to d.o.t before you do the bodylift..

PM Just_cruizin.
He will send you the correct paperwork to fill out.
You need to send that in, then wait till they send it back to you to say yes you can fit it. Then fit it. THen book in to get it checked and they then stamp it (paperwork that is) and you keep that in your glovebox
Yes it worth getting it done as if you have a crash you might have probs if they ask if you have it approved or if you get pulled up by cops or transport. I have been pulled up and I showed them the paperwork and all was good.

It is important to note, that after you have obtained approval from QT, as Bruce said, they will inspect the vehicle. If the vehicle is unroadworthy in any way, you will not get your mod plate. But you will get a defect notice
