just pulled the transfer case out so i could put another gearbox in and now find the front bearing is shot? probably a few other things stuffed as well. anyone no what it costs to rebuild a transfer case or who i should call? don't know what its got in it but the guy i bought it of said something about 4:1. how do you tell?

might be 4.16:1 transfer gears from low range. What size tyres to you run?
You could use the gearing calculator and your knowledge of revs at set speeds to work out the gears...

I'll be pulling mine out to fit 6.5's when they get here, if you wait till after that and it works out well and you want to get parts and bring beer I'm sure we could organise something?
That is if your at ormeau on the gold coast?
Also, front output bearing? if so you could get away with it for a few weeks provided you're not planning to go wheeling till then?
Else I'd try the suzi store at Nerang? Or get the gear and have a go yourself!
