ok i have a pair of new shocks laying around from another project. They are an awesome shock, mono tube design, 3 way adj etc. Used then on a mates patrol and his brand new heavy duty gabriels felt like crap. and these have worn much better

Anyway the shock length is 551mm ex and 326 compressed. eyelet to stud. 42mm body dia. Would this suit an ruf front with 2inch exd shackles?

now even if these do fit well, i am a little concerned about the rear. I can get the same shock for the rear, but it will be 600mm exd and 359 comp. I am a bit hesitant about matching with with say gabriel vn wagon shocks or something as they might not be well matched as these will be of much better quality.

If they were a patrol fitment they will be 5967540685748 times too stiff for a sierra.

Give them a miss. There's more to choosing a shock than its size.

Steve.

they are adj to an extent. On the patrol we had to wind them to the stiffest point and they very comfortable. They are not originally for a patrol but i have been very happy with how they performed on it. The 3 adj setting i can run are 50/50, 60/40, or 70/30

oh yeah, they are also on the rear of the patrol on the stiffest settng and ill put them in the front of the zook on the softest setting. So thinking they might not be a too bad match?

I vote give it a go! What's the worst that could happen? Other than a bit of time to experiment at least you'll know the results first hand
