chucked a battery into my sierra to start test lighting the loom to wire in the vitara wiring, bumped the indicator stalk, turning on the passenger side indicator,

and the windscreen wipers go! wiper switch is off.. also run when hazards are on.

anyone else had this problem? or am i just special :lol:

You most likely have a bad ground somewhere on the vehicle,, or wire from the wipers going to the switch that is grounding out.

Suzuki powers the wire from the battery to the wipers, then to the switch so all those wire are hot. All the wiper motor wirs need is a ground to start the motor.

So any wire between the switch and the motor will make the wipers run if it is grounded.

How do the wipers run? do they run normal? or fast as?

I as going to say I saw similar problem on a different form, they added a ground wire form the windshield frame to the firewall, and pretty sure that's what it fixed it.

they run at the fastest speed.. but the glass is dry and sticky from mud, so its very slow, but i can see the posts flexing at the window frame.

makes sence really, cos iv been getting chop happy minimizing the loom for my 1.6 swap.. :oops:
