so i just bought myself an '85 sierra, already has a 2" lift kit installed, and 30" muddies.
now i'd like to build on this before i get my P's, any suggestions as to what mods i can do?

(my knowledge on cars isnt too broad but i still know a bit)

Depends on what you want to do with it really, as to how you set it up... if you want more power etc? or if you want better gearing for slow rockcrawling

i was considering a vitty but the sierra came up and was overall better haha.
well as for power im thinking just extractors or something.. it's just when it comes to the offroad parts i need a little help.
better gearing would be awesome, but what would i have to do to achieve that?

Sounds like its all set up for a beginner, just keep it at that for now.
If your keen to do mods, make up some rear draws or front and rear bars to start

front bars are already on, rear bars i'll look in to. rear drawers i could probably whip up on a weekend sometime i guess. thanks for that.

particularly i wanna do somethin with the diff, but unfortunately thats the one thing i really don't know much on at all

Thats my vote. With a good pilot that set up can show up alot of bigger cars... Join a club that has some good driver training, and learn to steer before going nuts.

If you need to do stuff to your car. diff breathers, recovery points. drawers etc. stuff to make it more useable rather than more capable.

there is no one right way to modify anything.
What suits You, may not suit me, and so on.
There will be a lot of strong opinions around,
soak it all up, and make your own conclusions.

But drive first, modify later,

A few places sell kits.
As long as tube is a good fit,
oil and weather resistant,
strong and flexible, and runs to a high point.
Is not a hard job.
Most of our club cars have extended breathers.
