| Post subject: | Vitara Tyres |
Hey all. I'm looking to upgrade the tyres on my '96 Vitara, and I'm wondering what kind of sizes I should be looking at. I'm still running stock rims, with 205/75R15s on at the moment. I've also recently gotten a 50mm lift. I'm looking for a tyre in probably a 29-30 inch, but I'm not sure if 30 inch tyres will properly fit my wheel arches and allow for full lock on the front (I have a set of 31x10.5s that have no hope of turning, even with the lift). Can anybody help? |

best to search old topics mate. as this has been coverd a lot. a 235/75/15 is a good usable size on a vit. |

Depending on the rim and tyre width, it's actually not hard at all. My mate runs 31s with a slight inner guard chop |

235X75X15 are the way to go but if you are running around town alot (City) expect to replace the clutch every 12 mths or run the 205's and keep the 235's as a play tyre |

I went with 215/75R15 BFG ATs from tirerack.com. 5 tyres cost `$850 shipped. Not the most aggressive, but a good compromise. I'm lead to believe they're the largest legal size for QLD. |
