decided i want to paint my aluminium bullbar matte black (is currently unpainted), any particular kind of paint and any prep-work i should know of?

u can get etch primer to suit aluminium. spray that first then the paint. maybe give it a rub with wet n dry first to ruff up the surface |

awesome cheers. at first i was thinkin i'd just clean it up and smash some spray paint on it haha... but then i decided doing it properly would be the best

Wipe it down with wax and grease remover before painting |

Can clean, sand, prime and paint if you want, it will give the best results. I just gave mine a wipe and hit it with the rattle can a couple of times, and it's actually holding up quite well considering the punishment it's had since. |

I did the same as darkhorse. Just cleaned it and got the $2 matt black spray! It has held up really well considering the cost. |
