Hi I have been slowly rebuilding my 91 suzuki vitara. This has been asteep learning curve as previously I only really knew how to service a vehicle. I have been closely following the manuals and carefully labelled almost everything. However I am stuck on a couple of wires and wondered if anyone could help me without laughing too hard.
The wires I suspect have something to do with the alternator /battery/startermotor/ground.(So a bit important) unfortunately I dont have appropriate photos so I was hoping someone could inform me how the wiring on the alternator goes. I have installed the big green plug to the alternator but have to wires left one is fat and one is thin they are ring connectors by memory the fat one was white with a green stripe and has a rubber hood.
Thanks Roweena

the fat one will be the charge lead, the alt will have a threaded stud on it that it goes on and a 10mm hex nut will hold it down
as for the little one, does it do into the loom? what colour is it?
it might be the noise suppressor, in which case it will go to the same spot

That sounds about right the little one soes dissappear into the loom I will have to go over to the car to check the colour but the length was about the right size for fitting to the alternator.

if the hole in the ring is about 6mm then for sure it goes on the alternator, for it to be the starter it would be 8mm and I cant think of anything round that side of the engine that isnt just a plug
