Just follow the instructions in the booklet provided.
Its very straight forward.

The hardest part is setting the backlash on the crown and pinion gears. I eyed it off, however probably best to use a dial indicator (you can find how to set backlash on the interweb). I've done 40,000km no issues at all, still working as good as when I installed it.

I haven't bought it yet. Was sorta just busting out of my skin with curiosity, as I'd gotten so many different opinions regarding difficulty.

I was made aware that there was no backlash adjustment on the auto locker install..

there is, you have to remove thew hemisphere from the 3rd member, so you'll have to set the backlash again..

When I fitted my lockright I checked the back lash before I took it apart then took it apart and fitted it back as per the manual . Checked the back lash again and it didn't change. So if you follow thier directions and and mark everything right you should be fine.

Auto lockers are 1000 times easier to fit than Air lockers. Just mark everything as you pull it apart and put it back in the same place, easy as pie.

Check out this link

I've got a Spartan locker from lowrange in the states, delivered for under $200.

Super easy to install in the back yard with basic tools and bugger all mechanical knowledge.

It bangs and clunks at car park speeds on high grip surfaces (tar), but no noise at normal driving speeds and is excellent off road.

Yeahmight look at the Spartan locker then, good price!

Bought myself a dial indicator. So no biggy on having to adjust the backlash. Sorta why I wanted to ask now, as opposed to ripping my diff apart then realising I need to do it.

Good times. Thanks guys.
