So ive decided also with other forum members help im going to put in a 2 inch body lift to clear tyres.

Im wanting to know if any one else has done this and can give me a heads up on things i need to be aware about before starting it and not realising im going to need to do things to the steering ect.

Cheers in advance! :D

Firstly where are you? Requirements change from state to state, though you may be in New Zealand?

Authorised Persons (Engineers or others approved by the State Transport Authority) will require to inspect and approve the installation. Most states follow the National Code of Practice.

As far as the install goes, most kits come with comprehensive instructions that explain the process, it isn't too hard. Kit should come with steering spacer etc.

What isn't in the kits are brackets for the bumpers, SJ80 the rear is attached to the body so that will come up however the front is chassis mounted so you will need to sort that out.

Give all the mounts a hit with WD40/Inox/RP7 etc the night before and you will avoid the majority of the seized bolt issues.

Im in New Zealand. Anything above 2 inches you have to get certed.

Perfect sounds good ive got an alloy bar up front and a tig so can sort out making new brackets ect.

Sweet sounds good clears things up i was concerned if there was any hidden things that once ive gotten half way through i get stuck on something.
