hey everyone
jst a question i hav king springs with arb shocks but the shocks r maxed out when they r on the car like i hav no down travel in the front n about 50m in the rear my springs r 2 inch lift has anyone else had this problem with there shocks n wat did u do about any help would be good

the best thing to do would be get longer shocks.........i used hilux rear shocks in the back of mine and vitara rear shocks in the front. the vitara shocks were from a lifted suspension vitara tho

Your shocks must not be ones that suit your amount of spring lift. If you like the ARB old man emu one they do sell them to suit 2 inch lifts.

I wouldnt buy a set to "suit lift x".... Pull your shocks off, flex your car up and measure the distance from top shock mount to bottom shock mount at both full droop, and bottomed out (bumpstops touching).

Then it's a matter of choosing a brand and going through the books to find the right size.
Keep in mind though that different brands of shocks have different size bore & valving. OME (sold by arb) tend to be a popular choice for sierras, others such as rancho's, dobinsons, pro comps, tough dog etc tend to be too stiff for the little light weight suzukis. A set of rancho adjustables could work ok if you run them on a softer setting... But come with a price tage, and I don't know of anyone running this setup so I cant say for sure...

Another popular option is Gabriel shocks (sold at supercheap/repco or something). These are VERY cheap and seem to work fine. I have 2 mates running them.

no they r the ones to suit a 2 inch lift n i am goin to measure it all up n see wat ones i can get

arb now have available new front shocks which are longer again...check with your arb store for availabilaty.
