hey guys ive i own a 92 swb widetrack sierra with 31'' tyres and i have nearly half a turn of play in steering and the adjuster in steering box is all the way in what do i do?????????????/

its my daily so its becoming imposible to drive because once you hit a pothole your over the other side of the road lol

have you checked the reast of the steering components?

nope but i betta hay ive checked and relpaced steering dapners well the old one was a shocky with a dodged up eyelt but i will check them cheers

If the steering box has been adjusted full in, id say its rooted and time to look for a new one.

That is of course if you have checked all other bits of the steering, but I recon as the box is cactus.

Get someone to turn the steering wheel left and right, only in the slak zone, then look under bonnet at the steering box/pitman arm, if the wheel is turning and the pitman arm isnt, its the box, if the wheel and pitman arm turn together, its not the box.

Either way, sounds like it needs immediate attention.

maby u should do your wheel berings .. i had alot of play in the stearing i got wheel berings done and that fixed the play in the steering
