hey guys just went for a drive down to shops in sierra and it just wont f@k!ng idle and when backing down gears it goes shitty as if its starving for fuel yes ive replaced fuel filters put a carby kit through it drilled a whole in fuel cap yes because the compression cracked my fuel tank i run premium fuel but its got me buggered now im clueless on what to do but its my daily and i need to get it fixed cheers luke |

Try the bushfix. Take off number 4 lead and number 1 lead and swap them over on the dizzy, but first take off the carby hat. Give it a few revs and the carb should back fire. You may have some crap in the idle jet. Yes I know you said you have rekitted the carb but it is worth a try. |

that sounds like your fuel tank isn't breathing properly, have you checked your breather line on the tank? |

i tried bruces fix and it has worked FOR NOW lets seewhat its like in a couple of hours or touch wood it might run right i will also check the breather line cheers guys |

also it could be one of the hoses that connect to the carby are blocked. |

If you kitted the carb properly and cleaned all the lines out and replaced the filters and rubber hoses and dirt still got back in you have some sealing issues somewhere |

yeh when i rekitted the carby i blew all the hoses with compressor and jets also with compresser gun and when i took the fuel tank out to weld it up i also cleaned it all out |

the rubber hoses might be falling apart on the inside, try sticming an inline filter as close to the carby as you can and replacing the hose at least from the filter to carb |
