Post subject:  Sierra sticky throttle symptoms when changing gears

When i rev the motor high (<4,500 rpm) and take my foot of the throttle and put my foot on the clutch the engine continue to increase in rpm (~500 rpm); however when i take my foot off the throttle by itself the engine revs drop sharply.

I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem. I have few thoughts:

1. I sore in the service manual that the sierra carbie has an emissions control function called a Dash Pot System (p 148) which is mean to prevent the throttle valve from returning to idle position immediately. This is meant to be adjustable however i can not find the adjuster screw on the carbie

2. Maybe cause the 1.6 l engine has a 1.3 l flywheel

3. Bushes on carbie worn

yeah semi normal however if i do not take my foor off the throttle 1-2 sec before i hit the clutch when i take my foot off at 4500 and it normally ends up around 5500 - 6000. i guess it is just rev happy
