I am curious if there is a comparable car to the falcon over here. The GM alts we use in the U.S. are big, bulky and honestly I don't care for them at all. However they are about the only well known option for upgrade here.

If you guys know of a comparable car or alternator over here that is higher amp, that would be cool.

Thanks

Sky - what are you putting the alternator on? A 1.3 or 1.6? Have a look at the 2.5 Grand Vitara or Tracker - I think that's a 95A and should swap in directly on a 1.6, but will probably need a lower bracket for a 1.3.

I have a 1.6-8 valve , they have single point injection here.

I didn't know they had such a high rating, I am going to have to check those out. Thanks big time armsup

Hi Skyman , you could also use the XL7 (102 amp) alt though you will need to do some brackomatry and wiring.

Just my luck, brackomatry and wiring is a specialty of mine, now to find one in the yard aye.

Thanks for that one, we do have the XL7 here, and 102 amps is more than enough for the spots, and winch :D
