gday all just wondering if any of you have ideas/opinions on what would be a good allround chassis height for a wb between 94 and 97 inch and on 35s.Just having a bit of a mock up today in the shed and where it sits at present on stands is only 16" which i think is too low for the length. as said before it is only early days and on stands so nothings definate but id like to get the chassis up a bit more.

for now i think 35s is the limit for me.it has no front clip and the rear quarters cut pretty high so dont wanna go too high and make it look funny there

basically who in a lwb/truggy has what length,height and how much dragging are you doing?

Top ends of the chassis level with 35's, chassis is pretty high, though looks good on lux diffs. Marts old one stretched in front swb and Zookers lwb(markil'srig) is this. Fully laden. Lowest point of 100x50 chassis rhs is 22.4/570mm

Good for a truggy like yours, But too high for a legit rig though now i think.

Mine will ?possibly? be at 470mm/18.5" mm with 35's. Still looks like a good height underneath.

i myself think id be happy enough with 18ish,but i guess less dragging and banging wouldnt hurt.ive done everything in the wrong order for various reasons but i think it will make it hard to get right in the end

That tyre is a 35"..... Diff is welded in position... 50mm from bumpstop which will be ride height.
Lowest point of the chassis even with 37's fitted will be under 20" clearance... Want it as low as possible...

thanks also for your help jas. i dont want it to be a tall monster of a thing,for driving mainly but also for when its being towed up the road too?

around here we dont have a heap of stuff where i need it real high but i plan to take it to a few better places once built


below is all my stands will give me till i pack em up a bit.that is at 16.75"(ish) id like to go 18.5 after lookin tonight otherwise theres not much room to move

I reckon mine is about 14" on a 96.5" wheelbase.

With its current stance...none. But it was lower before, and rolling on 28's so it had belly rash quite often

Just tuck your transfer up and slap a slab of 10mm steel underneath and smash your way over everything

10mm you say haha id never work on it if i had to remove 10mm plate each time

ill lift the case and get it flat,tuck the exhaust up,or lack of so could keep it fairly low.

will have an internal cage at this stage i think.then normal sliders a tube front clip and some pipe protecting rear cut.No comp car thats for sure,just a project on the cheap and a social rig

yeah it is pretty i have a full soft top plus a 3 piece ute top so it should look pretty cool i hope

will see what i come up with,its just gonna be coiled.cant spend the money on air shocks so im in the process of chasing coils to use.they will sit up the side of the chassis fairly well id say but shouldnt be a problem?? planning on battery in the back on std floor,plus a small recovery box and a small tank/cell/boat tank??

mine is 530 mm 108 wb on 40s its low but works fine
