Hi fellas,

I bought the OME H/D springs & shock kit and fitted em, but obviously as the car is now the springs are way too stiff.

with the OME H/D, is the stiffness just added leafs or is it the strength in the individual leafs? there are 2 more leafs on there over stock.

Also is the shock more stiff too?

they will soften a little in time, the standard OME lifted (what I have) have 5 leaves in the pack (rear) and 4 in the front. So I would say its spring rate of the leaves used

Only difference between OME HD's arn OME mediums is an extra leaf. Same individual leave thickness's

Remove u bolts and the plate.
There is a stud and nut running through the leaf pack. This needs to be undone, you may wish to hold the spring pack compressed on either end with vice grips(not the leaf you wish to remove).
Remove bottom leaf
Do the stud back up and reverse what you did before.
You may need to hold the top of the stud with multigrips, just lift the axel up off the top of the leaf pack and you can get to it..

I always soak my nuts in WD40 a few hours before hand...

I highly recommend doing this, use 2 g clamp's to hold the spring's together near where the perch sits, I have had spring's fly apart when not clamped...
