i plan on eventually converting my drover to toyota diffs and use the lifted yj wrangler spring under kit from the states for 5 inches of lift. i have found a 85 rj70 bundera wreck its coil sprung, are these the ideal diffs i need for a diff swap into the sierra ? is there anything else i should grab off the car for the conversion as its still all complete ?

i was thinkin the shafts, steering arms and possibly the panhard bar if it is any benefit with leaf springs.

id use a hilux front and bundera rear.
grab as much as you can, shafts, springs, arms, steer arms, brake lines, !!!

There is a whole car for sale near me for $2500. Nothing wrong with it.

That would be perfect cause then you have everything you could ever need
like master cylinder, arms, steering components, brake lines, mounts of the chassis for your arms, and you could sell the motor and get some money back

whats a bundy rear diff worth, are they hard to get, after lots of research the diffs are too much for me as i dont plan on running bigger than 33's on my car, so a wt diff conversion with cromos is more suited for my application. I am thinking of still grabbing the rear diff if its worth something, or even use it to swap for wt diffs

It can be done bundy fr and r

Hilux front diffs are more common. Also aftermarket gear can be bought to beef them up.

Bundera front offset housings look similar but shaft lengths are different.

Bundera front centre is also hi-pinion.

yeah no dramas getting lockers and stuff for them...i used to have an RJ70 that I used and abused profusely

the beauty of the bundy stuff is the deethels came with 4.8 centres and heaps of them are wrecked in paddocks around the country

I have toyed with this idea as well. So far I havent been able to find any QLD rigs doing this. Has anyone in QLD done it and got it engineered.
