Righto Guys an Galls, ive finally dug my wallet out from the dust an invested on a set of coil spacers for the jimny, theyre 50mm extreme limits offroad units, the reason i bought them was just as an inexpensive way to get a tad extra ride height, now ive heard that the maximum legal lift in qld is 50mm, (hence buying the smaller ones) but after having a conversation with the old boy he seems to think that a 50mm lift is perfectly legal however COILSPACERS are not, regardless of the lift height, an being on P- plates im paying a rather high premium, i dont wanna find later that im not insured :l im really at a loss, an the QLD department of transport site gives me nothing, so, thought id ask the pro's, much thanks in advance.

QLD does not have any number regarding lift, its based on original travel to determine how high (or low) you can go

To the best of my knowledge, altering the height by adding packers under the springs is not legal
