Hey all,
My mate and i fitted all new OME H/D springs & shocks, ubolts and bushes over the weekend, as well as swivel hub seals & wheel, kingpin bearings, steering damper and tightened steering box.

Car drives much better but the camber is way out, took it for a wheel alignment and they said take it to pedders (again) but wouldnt mind giving it a shot myself if possible.

How do you adjust the camber/castor on a 95' Leaf sierra?

They should do the job, i dont know how to work out what angle you require sorry, at a guess i'd say 3 degree's but thats only because i've seen a few blokes do it before and thats how much they used.

camber on a sierra isnt adjustable
castor is but for it to be out with that gear something is wrong with it

what measurements did they give you?

They didnt give me any measurements unfortunately.
I did a quick google and theres camber adjustment bolts for Samurais.. No idea how they would work though.

Reckon i've got something bent? the stock suspension was pretty bloody stuffed.

The only way to 'adjust' the camber on a sierra is to jump it and there fore bend the housing. No camber bolts will work on it as it is live axle.

normally camber can be adjusted with a special king pin that has a concentric pic you move about, but they add something else to go wrong and youll only be covering a larger problem

I would go with the shop not knowing what they are doing if the tyre wear is ok, no alignment settings change when you lift a sierra

Fellas,
Pedders told me the camber is out by 2.5 degrees. Is that alot?
They adjusted the toe in but now the steering pulls to the left harder, but the steering is less heavy.

The boss of this pedders shop has the shits with me because i didn't go through with the $3000 quote and did it myself, and only brought it back for a wheel alignment, im getting the feeling these guys are abit dodgy so need to find a better shop if anyone has suggestions near Lidcombe, Sydney?

If they are like the pic, no they arent, they might fit in a shackle but thats it

How about I order some and when they dont fit, you grind em up and put em on your cornflakes

2.5 degrees is quite a lot, did they say if it was positive or negative??

When the car is parked on level ground with the wheels pointing straight ahead do the front wheels look like this-----> / \ or like this ---> \ /

grab 2 sets of camber bolts from Peddo's & take it to any decent wheel aligner get them to fit them & align it.

do you still have the same amount of steering lock left to right?

i paid $90 for camber adjustment and allignment but that was in a vitara, totally different setup but even $300 sounds high.

I think $3000 was the whole thing done. Springs, shocks, bushes bolts and fitting. But he fitted it himself.

Does your housing look bent? Is there a noticeable 'inwards lean' on your tyres? Are your tyres wearing un-evenly? If not, IMO it isn't worth worrying about...
