What are you doing it too the LJ? TSOR sells a perch kit Doesn't your work do this sort of stuff? |

yea, but im doing it at home, i haven done 1 at work to know what to do exactly, ill get help from the fitter there, he has done several sierras just want to know, obviously i need drive shafts, but wat else |

some sort of hi-steer, longer brake lines, new shock mounts??? Are you doing it to the LJ? |

You also might need an executor for your will. 
I had a sprung-over LJ50 many moons ago and it was lethally scary. Wouldn't steer straight on potholed roads, would lift wheels easily (eg if you reached out to one side of the car!), and wrecked uni-joints weekly due to the extreme angles arising from the short wheelbase. But it looked good! |

hi steer, brake lines, shocks, shock hoops, driveshafts, anti-wrap bars... thats about it, but first ask WHY... your LJ will clear 29's easily, and with LJ diffs 29's will be plenty - add a locker front and rear and it will be unstoppable. |

If you really want to spring over an LJ, look at Kenn's car first: http://www.auszookers.com/index.php?nam ... pic&t=3682 Notice all the suttle things done to it to make it work? The low sitting Sierra TC (I'm fairly sure this is done to stop the tailshafts self detonating due to angle), the totally custom built steering arms, and brackets to suit ( so the steering actually works), theres more....allot more done to that car then you may first realise! Personally I wouldn't have a SPOA LJ for the type of driving I do (I've put mine on its side twice, and its basically just got 31's on a very slightly lifted car). A LWB Sierra I could possibly be convinced of, though I have no use for one. LJ's are easy to flat belly, and this might not give you the clearance, but it'll allow you to skid over crap. Relocate the exhaust, build a solid bolt on flat belly skid plate and drive it like a chimpanzee on a shitload of crack 
If you use the right type of crack within a few weeks you'll realise your Jimny is a waste of time, will buy about 14 LJ's, ignore your other sad excuse for a Suzuki, and be amazed at how totally brilliant an LJ is in near stock form  until you get overtaken by a farm tractor on the highway, and realise this isn't quite where they are brilliant.....lol.

Basically enough intelligence not to do it. the steering is the problem. z bars are gay and don't work. you will need a custom hi steer and the cause of the short wheel base you will have tailshaft problems. Read the forum, research what to do and you can make a much more capable car rather than a show pony that is useless. |

only reason i wanted to do it was so i could run my tractor tires in the mud runs we have over here, guess ill just put some bigger springs in it, if i was going to spoa i would put wide track axles under it any way |

Even wt diffs are still going to have steering problems. The steering is expensive to get right, and I will repeat Zbars are extremely gay. Gayer than jonno at the world felching championship..... |

how big are your tractor tyres? i run 33s with 2 inches of lift. so you dont need spoa i doubt |

highway star ran a 31 on an lj with no lift at all. guard chop it and you will fit your tyres |
