Hey guys
was at Willibinga dunes on yesterday when the starter motor decides to shit itself,
I'm pretty sure it sounds like the little cog is just free spinning and not turning the flywheel?
but if we push start it will kick in no problems, had to do it down the dunes which was pretty scary

Im at work now but what do I need to do when I get home? take starter motor and see what the damage
am I looking at a new/used starter motor? sigh it was brand new too from EDIT:SuziSTORE not shop wonder if they do warranty still have the receipt?

lol maybe its starter failure season?

mine was doing the same... replaced it - although mine was the factory one (19 years old).

if your was brand new, where'd you get it from and is it under warranty?

1-2 months, i'd say at the very least they'd look after you on a new one, if not replace it =)

It's the one way clutch (sprag clutch) that's gone.

I had mine go awhile ago. I just got a new little one way clutch from the auto elec's. I think it cost me about $30 or $40.

Yeah, cheap enough and fairly easy to replace. If in doubt ask an auto lecky how much to replace
