once i get my car up and running again, i think the next upgrade will be arb air lockers, now as far as im aware, there are only air lockers available for the rear, but not for the front.

im pretty sure even to have one fitted in the front of a wt requires 26 spline chromoly axles and cv's, correct me if im wrong. there is a bit of information by joeblow about making an air locker for the front of a coily, but it doesn't seem to be enough information to do this ourselves.

If getting a front air locker requires custom parts made, would it be easier if everyone who owns a coily and wishes to have a front air locker, could work out what needs to go in and have numerous parts ordered at the same time to bring the individual price down of the parts. just an idea?

That way you8 can have Chromos, any locker you like, and part of the best type of sierra :)

yeah joeblow makes a adapted one if u want to risk that.

u can swap a whole jimny front end and jimny rear center. then its a bolt in job and 4.1 ratio :)

thats another option, but then you are still limited to weak axles or really expencive chromos, 2 diff ratios. ( you can get super low gears but really pricey)

all depends how much work you can do welding wise. and what outcome you want.

The Leafy 22 spline front is ARB Part Number RD75, rear 26 spline version is RD88. If fitting 26 spline cro-mo axles in the front axle, the RD88 is used.

why can't you just run Wt knuckles and WT steering setup?

EDIT: the wide track steering should work fine.

I figure it's worth doing, a front end that can have some good strong buts in it. Steering would have to be done as a custom set up to suit it's given application

this sounds alot easier, changing diffs over, i might go look through some photos of some wt's and have a look at what would need modifying.

does this mean the rear diff would then need changing to 3.7 ratio?
and does anyone feel as though the wheel track difference between the wt and coily would cause any handling issues?
or make it any more difficult to drive through soft sand?
i guess it would be nowhere near as exaggerated as the v8 landcruiser utes with the different wheel tracks they use to fit that huge motor.
