So first time ive driven the Sierra in heavy rain after that Sydney downpour and ive notice my car has alot of leaks.

Two from the soft top which is probably because the velcro at the top of the passenger & drivers windows no longer sticks, but the annoying one is a drip at the throttle & brake pedals, drips right onto my foot. No idea how to fix that one.

But even if the velcro doesnt stick with the soft top, it shouldnt leak past the seal on the door, right?

So what needs replacing & siliconed up maties??

its either blocked drain hoses that run out of the heater box out through the firewall, or its leaking rubbers arround the windscreen.

its probably blocked drains as said above. they run from the front of the windscreen where the grill things are to the engine bay. If you get your head right into the foot well you will see two black hoses running from the top of the dash into the fire wall. they are probably about 15mm thick I would guess? you can pull the bit out from the fire wall and get a coat hanger or something up there, clean it out and then run some water through it once you have it installed back into the fire wall. I used to have the same problem. I pulled two handfulls of shit out of the hoses, no more leaks new hope this sorts you issue.

I replaced my windscreen seal with some 10mmx25mm high density foam from clark rubber, with a big bead of silicon on each side, also makeing sure to seal the antenna cable holes... That plus cleaning out the drain hose with some highpressure water, and useing a small amount of silicon to attach the hose to fire wall inside the cab.

Now i get one tiny drip, That i thing is comeing in around the glass somewhere

Yep both my drains from the external grill below the windscreen were blocked and also my heater box vents had heaps of shit in them.

Got most of this out then flushed it through with the hose and now drains properly and I also seem to have better airflow through the windscreen vents.

mines shit in that department, when it rained I basically had to keep a tea towel in my lap to wipe the fog off. sorted it out with some rainex defog but that stuff doesn't come cheap. there's saturday planned
