Post subject:  1992 Sierra mis-firing

Hi all,

Rather than post up a question describing vague problems, I tried the search function. This brought a lot of matches, so I decided to simplify

Here is my story.......... As per the title, the car was not running well, missing, excessive fuel consumption and generally an unpleasant pos to drive.

Not much mechanical knowledge here but I thought I'd try some basic things.

Clean the brass (?)surface on the rotor button (grind against a brick wall)
Clean and re-gap the spark plugs (didn't need replacing)
Replace the air filter
Replace the fuel filter
Replace the oil and filter
Inflate the tyres to 20psi (not 8psi  )
Drain and replace the radiator green stuff (coolant, whatever the fuck it is)

All in all, 2 hours of my time and about $100 in bits from the local supercheap.

Car purrs by comparison.

Deliberately simplistic, no photos and not worth an article, but may help with future searching :)
